Coahuila to host Federalist Forum to strengthen government coordination
Coahuila has been selected as the venue for a Federalist Forum, an event designed to bring together governors, mayors, and legislators to enhance coordination between different levels of government. The decision was approved during the fourth ordinary meeting of the Senate's Federalism Commission, chaired by Senator Gabriel Elizondo Pérez.
Senator Elizondo emphasized the need for institutional dialogue and cooperation, stating that political party differences should be set aside to prioritize the needs of citizens in neighborhoods and rural areas. The forum aims to share best practices and foster collaborative efforts for the benefit of both Coahuila and Mexico. The specific date for the event is yet to be determined.
Additionally, the Commission will hold a solemn session to honor Miguel Ramos Arizpe, known as the ‘Father of Mexican Federalism,’ by inscribing his name in gold on the Senate's Wall of Honor.
