Coal India Limited Chairman reviews ECL mining operations

B. Sairam, Chairman of Coal India Limited (CIL), visited the Rajmahal Area of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) to review mining operations and assess progress on key activities. During the visit, the Chairman inspected the Rajmahal Open Cast Project (OCP) and Hurra ‘C’ OCP to evaluate operational performance.

The visit focused on improving operational efficiency, safety, productivity, and sustainable mining practices. The objective is to maintain sustained coal production and address field-level operational challenges to support national energy requirements. Additionally, the Chairman participated in a plantation programme at Urjanagar to highlight commitments to environmental sustainability and ecological conservation.
