Coamo invests R$ 1.7 billion in ethanol biorefinery

Coamo Agroindustrial Cooperativa has reached over 60% completion in the construction of a new corn ethanol biorefinery in Campo Mourão, Paraná. The project represents an estimated investment of R$ 1.7 billion.

Scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2027, the facility will process 1,700 tons of corn daily. Expected outputs include approximately 765,000 liters of hydrated ethanol, 510 tons of DDGS (distillers dried grains with solubles) for animal nutrition, and 34 tons of corn oil per day. The cooperative plans to dedicate 600,000 tons of its annual 3 million tons of corn to biofuel production.
