Coastal management and safety updates in Andalusia

In Mazagón, the Huelva County Development Commonwealth and the Palos de la Frontera City Council have invested over 200,000 euros in a new bucket machine to enhance beach cleaning and maintenance. This follows a recent 50,000 euro investment in a towed screening machine. These actions are part of the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination, promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia, aimed at modernizing tourist spaces and promoting environmental protection.

Meanwhile, at Palmones beach in Los Barrios, August lifeguard reports indicate a stable summer season. The service recorded only two rescues involving paddle surfers on August 5 and 6, neither requiring medical assistance. The month saw 19 minor medical interventions, primarily for small wounds and insect stings. Beach conditions remained favorable for much of the month, with green flags flying for 75.9% of the period.
