Coastal US regions face storms and rip current risks

Various coastal regions in the United States are facing unsettled weather and hazardous marine conditions. In South Florida, residents can expect daily afternoon and early-evening showers and storms through the beginning of the week. An elevated risk of dangerous rip currents is present at Atlantic beaches, while a disturbed weather area east of Bermuda maintains a low chance of development as it moves westward.

Along the Jersey Shore, a moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents has been identified. A small craft advisory is in effect due to northeast winds reaching up to 25 knots and seas between 3 to 5 feet. Mariners are advised to avoid navigating in these hazardous conditions.
