Coatzacoalcos Municipal Police certify new K9 Unit

The Coatzacoalcos Municipal Police in Veracruz have strengthened their K9 Unit following the certification of five canine agents and four handlers. The certification was granted by the Government of the State of Veracruz upon the completion of the ‘Diplomado Táctico K9 de Perros Multipropósito’ (K9 Tactical Diploma for Multipurpose Dogs).

The certified canine agents include two specialized in explosives detection, two in narcotics detection, and one in basic obedience. The four handlers received training to perform their duties in a coordinated and professional manner. This initiative aims to improve operational capabilities, prevention, and detection efforts in coordination with other security authorities.
