COBAES celebrates 45 years and announces new infrastructure in Sinaloa

The Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Sinaloa (COBAES) is celebrating its 45th anniversary. Since its founding on September 9, 1981, the institution has expanded from 45 campuses to a network of 127 centers across 20 municipalities, serving more than 30,000 students.

In conjunction with these celebrations, the Guasave City Council has initiated the construction of a new classroom at the Cobaes 71 campus in León Fonseca. The project represents an investment of approximately 910,057 pesos, funded through Ramo 33. The construction includes walls, concrete slabs, windows, and electrical systems. Additionally, Mayor Cecilia Ramírez Montoya announced plans for a storm drainage project in front of the campus to mitigate flooding issues.

Santiago Inzunza Cázares, Director General of COBAES, emphasized the institution's commitment to improving educational quality and infrastructure. He noted that current challenges include reducing dropout rates and addressing the impacts of artificial intelligence and social media on youth development.
