Cobas becomes a summer destination for wine and furanchos

The locality of Cobas in Meaño has become a prominent summer destination for nightlife and gastronomy, specifically attracting visitors interested in 'furanchos'. These establishments serve homemade red and Albariño wines alongside traditional tapas such as tortilla, octopus 'á feira', Padrón peppers, and potatoes with 'raxo'.

A concentrated 800-meter stretch in Cobas hosts approximately ten such venues, leading to significant weekend crowds and occasional traffic congestion on the provincial 9302 road. The popularity of these sites peaks in August, drawing visitors from various regions including Vigo, A Coruña, Lalín, and Pontevedra.
