The Cobourg Kodiaks clinched the last postseason berth in the Major Series Lacrosse league by defeating the Owen Sound North Stars 7‑5 in the regular‑season finale at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Arena in Ontario. After trailing early in the third period, Cobourg rallied with four unanswered goals, highlighted by a hat‑trick from Aaron Woods and two goals from Brock Haley, to complete the comeback.

The win gave the Kodiaks a 10‑8 record, tying them with the Brooklin Lacrosse Club but earning the playoff spot through the league’s tiebreaker. Owen Sound finished the season 1‑17. Cobourg now prepares for a semifinal series against the Six Nations Chiefs, who finished the season with only one loss.
