Cobrana forest reserve to host 'Pálpito' environmental art exhibition
The 'Pálpito' exhibition is set to open at the Cobrana forest reserve on Saturday, October 24, at 12:00 PM. Created by photographer David Crespo and curated by Nicolás de la Carrera, the project uses art to examine the scars left by forest fires and the subsequent resilience of nature.
The exhibition combines photography with poetry by National Poetry Prize winner Juan Carlos Mestre, which visitors can access via QR codes. Following its time at Soto de Villar de los Barrios, the itinerant show will travel through other locations in the Bierzo region before moving to various points across Spain.
Promoted by associations such as Bierzo Vivo and La Nogal de Cobrana, the initiative aims to raise awareness regarding forest fires, climate change, and rural depopulation. It highlights the importance of forest conservation and the role of rural communities in protecting natural heritage.
