Cobreloa and Colo Colo settle Ignacio Jara dispute

Chilean football clubs Cobreloa and Colo Colo have reached an agreement to resolve a long-standing dispute regarding the training rights of player Ignacio Jara. The conflict originated from Jara's transfer to Colo Colo in 2020.

Previously, the ANFP's Tribunal de Asuntos Patrimoniales (TAP) ruled that Colo Colo must pay Cobreloa USD 150,000. While Colo Colo had initially appealed to an international tribunal, the clubs have since negotiated a settlement.

Ignacio Mehech, Vice President of Cobreloa, stated that the agreement is beneficial for the club and satisfies their initial requests. Due to a confidentiality clause, specific details of the settlement will not be released to the press, but the terms are expected to be presented to Cobreloa's members during an assembly in September.
