Cobreloa defeats Recoleta 6-1 to pressure San Luis in Liga de Ascenso

Cobreloa secured a dominant 6-1 victory against Deportes Recoleta at the Estadio Zorros del Desierto, maintaining their position as runners-up in the Liga de Ascenso. The win comes with only two matchdays remaining in the championship.

Gustavo Gotti led the offensive effort with a hat-trick, while Rodolfo González, Álvaro Delgado, and Juan Ignacio Duma also contributed goals. The victory allows Cobreloa to remain in contention for direct promotion to the 2027 Primera División, applying pressure on league leaders San Luis, who recently defeated Magallanes to reach 53 points.

Following the match, Gotti emphasized the team's solidity and the necessity of the win to stay competitive at the top of the table. Cobreloa's upcoming schedule includes an away match against Rangers de Talca and a home fixture against Deportes Puerto Montt.
