Cobreloa denies Rivaldo Hernández's return and settles debt with Colo Colo
Cobreloa management has confirmed they will not allow defender Rivaldo Hernández to rejoin the team for the remainder of the 2026 tournament. Despite a formal request from head coach César Bravo to include the player, club president Harry Robledo stated that the board's previous decision remains in place due to Hernández's ongoing judicial situation. The legal proceedings related to a 2021 case involving youth players have been postponed and are now scheduled for March 2027.
In separate news, Cobreloa has reached a settlement with Colo Colo regarding debts owed to former player Ignacio Jara. Vice president Ignacio Mehech noted that the agreement satisfies the club's initial requests following a legal dispute that moved to an international tribunal. While specific details are protected by a confidentiality clause, the settlement reportedly involves the payment of US$ 150,000 and an additional match against Colo Colo.
