Coca-Cola and food industry brands adapt to social-first ecosystems

A study by the global social media marketing agency SAMY highlights how food and beverage companies, including Coca-Cola, KFC, and Unilever, are adapting to social-first ecosystems driven by creators and artificial intelligence. The research indicates a growing tension between technology and creativity; while approximately 66% of organizations have increased investment in AI, only 24% have increased budgets for creativity. Experts suggest that while AI facilitates rapid content production and data analysis, it does not replace the cultural understanding required for brand differentiation.

In conjunction with these industry shifts, Coca-Cola has launched a new global campaign titled ‘The World Can Wait’. The initiative encourages consumers to disconnect from daily distractions and reconnect through shared mealtime experiences. The campaign focuses on the importance of intentional moments with family and friends, emphasizing the brand's role in fostering authentic human connections around the table.
