Coca-Cola celebrates 100 years in Mexico with new Yucatan plant

As Coca-Cola marks 100 years of operations in Mexico, the company and its partners have highlighted the massive scale of their national footprint. The Mexican Coca-Cola Industry currently operates 73 plants and 350 distribution centers, supporting over 1.7 million jobs and contributing approximately 2 percent to Mexico's GDP.

In conjunction with this centennial, Bepensa Bebidas and the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry have inaugurated the Planta Centenario Valladolid in Yucatan. This project involved an investment of over 1.2 billion MXN (approximately US$71.01 million) and is expected to create more than 200 direct jobs. The new facility increases Bepensa’s capacity for 100% returnable carbonated products by 30% and aims to supply roughly 25% of the current beverage demand across the Yucatan Peninsula.

The Valladolid plant is part of a broader US$6 billion investment commitment by the Coca-Cola system in Mexico, focusing on manufacturing, distribution, and commercialization infrastructure.
