Coca-Cola Europacific Partners invests $39.7m in Kewdale facility
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has completed a $39.7 million upgrade to its Kewdale manufacturing facility in Western Australia. The investment focuses on a new automated can production line that increases manufacturing capacity by more than 40 per cent.
The new technology increases production speeds from approximately 1,060 to 1,500 cans per minute, with an annual capacity of roughly 384 million cans, or 16 million cases. The upgrade also introduces enhanced automation and improvements in water and energy efficiency to better respond to consumer demand.
To support beverage supply during the summer peak, the production line will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Kewdale site, which has operated for over 50 years, is CCEP’s fourth-largest manufacturing facility in Australia and employs approximately 300 people.
