Coca-Cola HBC announces 35 billion HUF investment in Hungary

Coca-Cola HBC Hungary has announced a record investment of approximately 35 billion HUF (EUR 95 million) to its production facility in Dunaharaszti. The announcement was made during an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the factory.

The capital will be used to fund several key infrastructure and production upgrades, including the construction of a high-bay warehouse with a 30,000-pallet capacity and the installation of a new canning production line. Additionally, the company plans to expand its aseptic production capabilities to facilitate the manufacture of drinks without preservatives and transition from shrink film to paper packaging for certain multipacks to reduce environmental impact.

István Kapitány, the Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, attended the event, noting that the investment brings world-class technology to Hungary. The Dunaharaszti site serves as a major hub, exporting products to 17 countries and collaborating with 830 Hungarian suppliers within its production value chain.
