Coca-Cola implements global redesign for Coca-Cola Zero

The Coca-Cola Company is implementing a global redesign of its Coca-Cola Zero packaging to create a more consistent brand identity. The new look moves the sugar-free variant closer to the classic Coca-Cola aesthetic by incorporating the brand’s signature red color, the characteristic wave pattern, and an enlarged Spencerian script.

To maintain distinction from the original formula, the Zero version will retain black elements, such as black waves on cans and black caps on PET bottles. While the company states the goal is brand evolution rather than reinvention, the change has sparked discussion regarding whether consumers can easily distinguish between the two products. Some reports indicate instances where customers have struggled to differentiate the variants in restaurant settings.
