Coca-Cola launches global packaging redesign in over 200 markets

The Coca-Cola Company announced a worldwide update of its visual identity, replacing the classic can design with a new layout that highlights the “Zero Sugar” label in larger type. The redesign retains the brand’s red colour, Spencerian typography and the dynamic ribbon, while expanding the black‑curved band on cans and keeping black caps on PET bottles.

The change is part of the company’s “One Brand” strategy to unify branding across all touchpoints, including packaging, advertising, retail equipment and digital platforms. New AI‑driven tools and a global brand centre will help local teams apply the system. The rollout will occur gradually in more than 200 countries as existing stock is replaced, with no alteration to the beverages’ formulas and no product discontinuations.

Coca‑Cola’s vice‑president of global design, Rapha Abreu, said the goal is a stronger, more recognizable visual identity without imposing a rigid standard on individual markets.
