Coca-Cola launches global visual refresh and files trademark for possible spicy Sprite variant

The Coca‑Cola Company has introduced a new visual identity system to be used in more than 200 markets worldwide. The redesign features an intensified red‑white palette, a Dynamic Ribbon, an Arden Square and the Spencerian script across packaging, retail spaces and digital media. Arnab Roy, President of Coca‑Cola Global Category, said the refresh is about “being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand.” Rapha Abreu, Global Vice President of Design, added that the unified look will deliver “one recognisable brand experience to consumers.”

In a separate move, Coca‑Cola filed a trademark application for the name “Spricy” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The filing, listed under the soft‑drink category, has fueled speculation that the company may launch a spicy‑flavoured version of Sprite, although no product details have been confirmed.
