Coca-Cola outperforms PepsiCo in profit and forecasts
The Coca-Cola Company has reported financial results that outperform its primary rival, PepsiCo, in terms of net profit and annual forecasts. Despite specializing exclusively in beverages, Coca-Cola saw its net profit grow by 14% to 11.036 billion euros between January and September, surpassing PepsiCo’s 7.497 billion euros.
While PepsiCo maintains higher total revenue due to its diverse portfolio of snacks and beverages, Coca-Cola’s revenue grew by 9% to approximately 35.034 billion euros. In contrast, PepsiCo reported revenues of 61.815 billion euros. Coca-Cola CEO Henrique Braun noted that recent quarterly results demonstrate the sustained dynamism of their system, providing confidence in updated annual forecasts.
In the United States liquid refreshment category, Coca-Cola holds a 20% market share, while PepsiCo’s share has declined to 16% from 20% in 2022. Coca-Cola also maintains a significant advantage in carbonated beverage market share in many international markets outside the U.S.
