Coca-Cola to launch sugar-free, caffeine-free version in Brazil
Coca-Cola will launch a sugar-free and caffeine-free version of its beverage in Brazil this September. This move aims to target wellness-conscious consumers and expand consumption occasions, particularly during the evening and nighttime when caffeine intake may interfere with sleep.
Brazil serves as the launch point for Latin America due to its status as the global leader in Coca-Cola Zero sales and the fourth largest market for The Coca-Cola Company. The expansion follows a trend in the Brazilian retail market where sugar-free products saw an 18.8% volume growth between January and August 2025, increasing their category share from 17% to 21.4%.
While this specific variant has been available in markets such as Spain, the United Kingdom, and Australia since 2010, it is a new strategic addition to the Latin American portfolio. Following Brazil, Chile and Mexico are expected to receive the product in 2026, with Argentina and Uruguay projected for 2027.
