Coca‑Cola’s Fairlife dairy resumes US production after ransomware attack
Coca‑Cola announced that its Fairlife dairy business has resumed the majority of production at its four U.S. plants in Michigan, Arizona and New York after a ransomware attack. The breach, claimed by the hacking group Anubis, gave unauthorized third‑party access to parts of Fairlife’s systems and resulted in the theft of about 1 TB of data. Production was halted for nearly two weeks, but most facilities are now back online and the company reports "significant progress" in restoring services.
The company said product quality and safety were not affected and that existing inventory kept retail availability largely unchanged. Coca‑Cola does not expect the incident to have a material impact on its financial condition or results. Fairlife was purchased by Coca‑Cola in 2020 for roughly $7 billion and generates annual sales exceeding $3 billion.
