Cochabamba opens forensic medical clinic for sexual violence victims

In Cochabamba, the National Institute of Forensic Investigations (IDIF) has inaugurated a new forensic medical clinic at the FELCV-Chimba facility. The clinic is designed to provide immediate and comprehensive care to victims of sexual violence, aiming to prevent the need for victims to travel to multiple locations for medical-forensic assistance.

The new facility will house a forensic doctor working in coordination with the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Sexual Violence. To reduce re-victimization, the clinic will operate alongside offices for the Special Force to Fight Violence (FELCV), the Municipal Integral Legal Service (SLIM), and the Child and Adolescent Defense Office, creating a unified service circuit.
