Cochin International Airport deploys AI robotic concierge

Kinetiq RRobotics has deployed Nova, an AI-driven robotic concierge, at Cochin International Airport (CIAL) in India. The service robot is currently operating at Kalangan, the airport’s art museum located within the Domestic Security Hold Area.

Nova is designed to provide interactive passenger assistance, including checking flight schedules, locating gates, and providing directions to airport facilities such as medical rooms, washrooms, and prayer rooms. Beyond navigation, the robot acts as a cultural guide at the Kalangan museum, introducing travelers to traditional Kerala art forms like Kathakali and Ottanthullal.

The deployment, inaugurated by CIAL Managing Director S. Suhas, marks a transition for service robotics from experimental demonstrations to active roles in live aviation operations.
