Cockroach Janta Party founder denies internal split rumors

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has used social media to dismiss speculation regarding internal divisions within the organization. Dipke posted a playful photograph on Instagram featuring co-leaders Saurav Dass and Ashutosh Ranka to mock rumors of a rift.

The lighthearted post follows the recent release on bail of Dass and Ranka from Tihar Jail on 22 October. The two leaders had been held in judicial custody following a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on 13 October, where authorities alleged they entered a denotified protest site and violated peace bonds.

As part of their release, the leaders provided surety bonds and formal undertakings to preserve the peace, promising not to organize demonstrations at Jantar Mantar until the site is legally re-notified. The CJP has also announced a temporary hiatus from street protests until Diwali to allow members to spend time with their families.
