Coco Gauff joins Florida Flamingos as player and owner for WTT return

World Team Tennis (WTT) is returning after a four-year hiatus following its last season in 2021. Leading the league's revival is world No. 4 Coco Gauff, who has joined the Florida Flamingos Racquet Club as both a player and a co-owner.

The upcoming season features a mix of established ATP and WTA stars, including Jessica Pegula, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Leylah Fernandez, and Denis Shapovalov. The Florida Flamingos, a franchise originally founded in 1974, will host matches at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise. Gauff is scheduled to play home matches against Toronto North on December 14 and the New York Empire on December 15.

Maintaining the league's original mixed-gender format, matches will consist of four singles sets followed by a mixed doubles super tie-breaker. This structure distinguishes the competition from the standard individual formats found on the ATP and WTA tours.
