Cocos Japan and Hiroshima retailers launch 3D “puffy” sticker collections
Japan’s family‑restaurant chain Cocos Japan began selling its “Gochisou” 3‑D “puffy” stickers nationwide on 3 August. The three designs feature the chain’s signature dishes, desserts and take‑out items and are priced at ¥440 each, with a limit of three per customer and an early‑access coupon for app members on the first day.
In Hiroshima, a separate line of local‑theme 3‑D stickers depicting regional foods such as furikake, sake and momiji‑manju has drawn strong interest. About 30 000 units of the first two designs have been sold, and a new set featuring logos from 19 local supermarkets is slated for release in September‑October, following collaboration among competing retailers.
Both releases illustrate a growing trend of collectible, resin‑filled stickers marketed by Japanese food‑service and retail businesses.
