Code of Conduct Bureau trains new anti-corruption officers

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has concluded a four-week training program for its newly recruited investigation and enforcement officers in Abuja. The training, held at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Academy, marked a significant collaboration between the two anti-corruption agencies.

CCB Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Bello urged the graduates to maintain high integrity, warning them that they will face pressure from public officers with significant wealth and influence. He emphasized that the officers must reject bribes and protect the confidentiality of asset declarations and other sensitive information obtained during their duties.

EFCC Executive Chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede noted that the training is part of a broader agreement between Nigeria’s major anti-corruption agencies to strengthen inter-agency collaboration.
