Coder and SpaceXAI launch self-hosted environment for AI coding agents

Coder and SpaceXAI have announced a collaboration to launch Coder Agent Relay, a self-hosted execution environment designed to bring Cursor cloud coding agents into highly regulated enterprise environments. This solution allows banks, government agencies, and other large organizations to run AI agents on their own infrastructure. By executing tool calls within Coder workspaces, sensitive data such as source code, secrets, and internal services remain under the customer’s direct control, addressing security and compliance barriers that have previously limited the adoption of vendor-hosted AI tools.

In a related development, Cloudflare has announced support for executing Cursor Cloud Agents within Cloudflare Sandboxes. This integration provides a high-security, isolated environment for AI-based programming agents to operate under strict client control. The setup allows the inference and planning loops to run via Cursor’s backend while the practical execution occurs within a secure sandbox on the customer’s account. This model aims to minimize data exfiltration risks while allowing developers to use familiar AI tools within their corporate security frameworks.
