CODICADER 2026: Honduras and Panama see success in student games

The CODICADER 2026 Central American Student Games, currently being held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, feature student-athletes from seven countries competing across 20 sporting disciplines.

Honduras has secured 54 medals so far, including 11 gold, 16 silver, and 27 bronze, placing the host nation in fourth place in the general medal standings. Taekwondo has been a significant contributor to the host's tally, with Ashley Castellanos winning gold and Cedric Guzmán earning silver.

Panama has also seen success in the taekwondo competition, earning two gold medals from Natalia Pérez Barragán and Daniela Samudio, one silver from Misael Montero Pérez, and eleven bronze medals. The competition is scheduled to continue until September 13.
