Coffee Girl in Astoria announced for sale

The owners of Coffee Girl, a long-standing establishment located in the Hanthorn Cannery Building in Astoria, have announced they are putting the business up for sale. Located on Pier 39 with views of the Columbia River, the coffee house has operated for approximately two decades.

Co-owner Betsy Wentworth stated that despite experiencing year-over-year sales growth and a highly profitable summer, the decision to sell is driven by age and health. Wentworth, 73, and co-owner David Levinson, 78, are looking toward retirement. Levinson recently underwent his second open-heart surgery, making it difficult for Wentworth to manage the business alone.

Wentworth expressed hope that new owners will bring ‘young, new energy’ to the shop while maintaining the atmosphere for regular customers. There are currently no prospective owners identified.
