Coffee machine testing results for filter and capsule models

Recent testing of various coffee machines highlights preferences and performance across different brewing methods. Despite the popularity of capsules and automatic machines, a Tchibo report indicates that 47 percent of respondents regularly drink filter coffee, making it the most widespread method in Germany.

In filter machine testing, the Severin Filka 2.0 KA 4853 was named the winner. It features a quiet, infinitely adjustable grinder, an automatic descaling function, and a water filter compartment. Key performance metrics for filter machines include a brewing time of four to six minutes per liter and a temperature between 92 and 96 degrees Celsius.

In the capsule machine category, the Sage Creatista Pro was identified as the top performer. Although it is a luxury model priced at 749 euros, it excelled in speed and aroma, featuring a touch display and steam nozzle for milk frothing. The Tchibo Qbo Essential was recognized as the best value for money in the capsule segment.
