Coffs Harbour hosts record 131 teams for National Youth Championships

The 2026 DoorDash National Youth Championships have commenced in Coffs Harbour, bringing a record 131 teams to the region for four days of Touch Football competition. This marks the sixteenth time the area has hosted the premier youth tournament.

Organized by Touch Football Australia in partnership with the City of Coffs Harbour and the NSW Government through Destination NSW, the event serves as a critical development pathway for players aiming for the senior National Touch League and Australian national representation. Notable participants include Australian Emus player Layne Prince.

Beyond the sporting competition, the championships act as a significant economic driver for the Coffs Coast. The influx of players, staff, and families is estimated to inject over five million dollars into local hospitality, accommodation, and small business sectors.
