Cofopri delivers 175 property titles in Junín

The Informal Property Formalization Agency (Cofopri) has delivered the first 175 property titles to families in the Huasicancha district of Junín, Peru. This initiative follows a strong earthquake that affected the community in July.

Cofopri Executive Director Cecilia Castro led the delivery, noting that the process provides legal security to residents who had waited over 80 years for formalization. These titles are expected to allow affected families to access housing bonuses from the Ministry of Housing.

The regional campaign included a total of 282 legal instruments. Beyond residential homes, the formalization process covered public infrastructure, including health centers, primary and secondary schools, and a communal local in the Yanacancha district. Legal accreditation of these lands is required for the municipalities to execute public investment projects and social infrastructure improvements.
