Cogne Acciai Speciali presents 2027 industrial plan

Cogne Acciai Speciali has presented its 2027 industrial plan at the Ministry of Made in Italy in Rome. The company, part of the Taiwanese group Walsin, reaffirmed the strategic importance of its Aosta plant despite recent challenges caused by geopolitical tensions, high energy costs, and rising raw material prices.

During meetings with trade unions Fim, Fiom, and Uilm, representatives requested more granular technical data regarding production volumes and specific investment details for hot processing lines. Unions are seeking guarantees to ensure workers do not bear the brunt of the rising cost of living and are looking for clarity on workforce flexibility by the end of 2024.
