CogniFit survey reveals professional optimism for AI in cognitive health
A global survey conducted by CogniFit involving 324 professionals from 43 countries reveals significant optimism regarding the integration of artificial intelligence in cognitive healthcare. Approximately 69% of experts expressed a positive outlook on the evolution of cognitive care over the next five years, with 68% stating that AI will make cognitive health a higher priority within psychology and general healthcare.
While professionals are comfortable using AI for administrative and supportive tasks—such as generating reports (75%) and designing personalized training recommendations (60%)—there is notable hesitation regarding clinical autonomy. Only 37% support using AI for clinical decision-making, and just 31% trust it to drive patient engagement.
The study highlights three urgent priorities for the sector: integrating brain health into global health strategies, systematically evaluating cognitive side effects during medical prescriptions or surgeries, and implementing regular cognitive screenings. Specifically, 78% of respondents recommend annual cognitive reviews for individuals over 60, while 61% suggest starting these assessments at age 50.
