Cognor Holding reports return to profit in H1 2026

Cognor Holding reported improved financial results for the first half of 2026, returning to profitability after losses in the previous year. The company recorded revenues of 1,138.2 million PLN, representing a 9.1 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Operational performance saw significant growth, with EBITDA reaching 82.4 million PLN, triple the amount from the previous year. EBIT rose to 43.1 million PLN, a substantial recovery from the 0.3 million PLN loss recorded in the first half of 2025. The group achieved a net profit of 5.7 million PLN, compared to a net loss of 26.5 million PLN in the prior year.

Key drivers for this turnaround include higher sales volumes, improved spreads, and increased production capacity utilization. Specifically, raw steel production capacity utilization rose to 92 percent in the second quarter of 2026, up from 71 percent a year earlier. The company also noted growing demand for infrastructure and defense-related orders.
