The Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (COHEP) has released the official holiday schedule for 2026, clarifying guidelines for the private sector regarding national holidays and the 'Semana Morazánica'.

COHEP confirmed that Tuesday, September 15, 2026, is an unmovable national holiday in accordance with the Labor Code, and workers must be granted rest on that specific day.

Regarding the October holidays, COHEP noted that under Legislative Decrees No. 78-2015 and No. 126-2020, the holidays for October 3, 12, and 21 are unified to promote tourism. For the private sector, the 'Semana Morazánica' will begin on Wednesday, October 7, at 12:00 PM and conclude on Saturday, October 10, at 12:00 PM.

The banking and financial system will also be closed to the public during this period, though electronic banking and ATM services will remain available.
