Cohesity appoints Peter Hanna as VP of Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan

Cohesity, the AI‑focused data security vendor, has promoted Peter Hanna to a newly created position of vice‑president of sales and general manager for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Based in Hong Kong, Hanna will assume the role on 1 August and will oversee sales strategy, technical sales execution, channel operations and growth initiatives across APJ, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India and Greater China.

Cohesity said the appointment reflects the strategic importance of APJ, noting “tremendous growth potential” and increased investment in headcount, enablement and technical innovation. Hanna brings more than two decades of sales and go‑to‑market experience in security solutions and previously held regional leadership roles at VMware and Dell EMC. He will engage major customers as AI adoption accelerates and cyber threats evolve, aiming to expand the company’s customer base throughout the region.
