Coimbra announces major investment in school infrastructure
The Mayor of Coimbra, Ana Abrunhosa, has announced a large-scale investment plan to modernize schools within the municipality, involving tens of millions of euros. The announcement took place during the inauguration of the requalification of the Eugénio de Castro Basic School, which received a 12.6 million euro investment funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Other ongoing or proposed projects include the requalification of Conchada Basic School (1.66 million euros), Eiras Basic School (1.47 million euros), and D. Dinis Secondary School (150,000 euros). Additionally, a 30.5 million euro investment for the rehabilitation of José Falcão Secondary School has been approved, and a candidacy for Dom Duarte Secondary School has been submitted.
