Coimbra business leaders seek direct IP3 access for Poiares industrial zone

The Business Association of the Coimbra Region (NERC) is advocating for the creation of a direct access node from the IP3 highway to the Vila Nova de Poiares Industrial Zone. This demand is currently being formalized through a public petition directed to the Assembly of the Republic.

NERC and other regional business associations argue that this infrastructure is a strategic priority to improve mobility for local companies and enhance the economic competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the Coimbra region. The petition seeks to have this access recognized as a priority within the ongoing requalification and duplication of the IP3 and the future EN17 variant.
