Coimbra health center faces urgent facility degradation
The Users' Commission of the São Martinho Bispo Health Center in Coimbra has reported critical degradation of its facilities. The commission stated that the building suffers from issues such as rain entering during winter and a lack of climate control during summer, which they claim compromises the well-being of health professionals and the quality of care for thousands of users.
The Local Health Unit (ULS) of Coimbra noted that the building is the responsibility of the Coimbra City Council. Both entities are reportedly working on a solution, which includes the immediate installation of an air conditioning system and small repairs. A more profound intervention plan is being finalized to address the structural needs of the facility.
