Coimbra Maternity Hospital public tender to launch soon

The public tender for the construction of the new Coimbra Maternity Hospital is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. Francisco Maio Matos, president of the Coimbra Local Health Unit (ULS), announced the development during celebrations for the 47th anniversary of the National Health Service.

The project involves an investment of approximately 58 million euros. A government ordinance has already been published in the Diário da República, authorizing the ULS to assume the multi-year expenses required for the construction. Matos noted that the project represents a significant investment for future generations and the region's healthcare infrastructure.
