Coinbase launches Pulse Mode for mobile perpetual futures trading

Coinbase has introduced Pulse Mode to its Coinbase Wallet app, providing a simplified mobile interface for trading perpetual futures, also known as perps. The feature allows eligible users to manage leveraged long and short positions directly within the self-custodial application.

CEO Brian Armstrong announced the update following the renaming of the Base App to Coinbase Wallet. Pulse Mode is designed to streamline the trading experience by emphasizing market direction, position size, and execution through a faster interface, rather than presenting all advanced settings simultaneously.

While the Wallet supports various assets including crypto, tokenized stocks, commodities, and prediction markets, Coinbase has not yet released specific technical documentation regarding Pulse Mode fees, leverage limits, or regional availability.
