Coinbase leads DeFi deposits for tokenized stocks

Coinbase has led major issuers in tokenized stock deposits within decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, according to on-chain tracking from Token Terminal. Over a seven-day period, Coinbase-issued tokenized stocks saw $5.6 million in deposits.

Robinhood followed with $1.8 million in deposits, while Binance’s bStocks recorded $1.6 million. Tokenized stocks are blockchain-based assets that provide exposure to exchange-listed stocks, allowing for 24-hour trading and fractional ownership.

The deposit metric specifically tracks net inflows into lending markets, liquidity pools, and other on-chain environments, rather than total trading volume or market capitalization. High deposit levels suggest that users are not merely trading these assets but are utilizing them as collateral or for yield-generating strategies within decentralized markets.
