Coincheck Group and DFNS partner for digital asset custody in Japan

Coincheck Group and DFNS have entered into a strategic partnership to provide institutional-grade digital asset custody and wallet technology in Japan. The collaboration aims to support Coincheck, Inc., the Tokyo-based retail crypto exchange and subsidiary of Coincheck Group, in developing secure custody solutions for Japanese financial institutions.

DFNS will deploy its wallet-as-a-service platform to facilitate institutional-scale operations. The technology includes transaction lifecycle management, workflow orchestration, and governance controls, supporting over 100 blockchain networks. The platform offers flexible deployment options, including SaaS, hybrid, and on-premises configurations with native HSM support to meet regulatory requirements regarding jurisdictional control over key material.
