CoinMarketCap adds real‑world asset data endpoints to Pro API

CoinMarketCap announced the launch of seven new real‑world asset (RWA) endpoints on its Pro API, providing developers with programmatic access to tokenized versions of traditional financial instruments. The endpoints cover tokenized equities, commodities, currencies, government securities, exchange‑traded funds and real estate, and include stable identifiers, metadata, asset‑list, quotes, market‑pairs and issuer information.

The RWA suite is available on the free Basic plan and higher tiers and was introduced alongside a developer guide that demonstrates how to retrieve data on SpaceX’s tokenized stock following the company’s public listing. CoinMarketCap’s existing API already delivers real‑time and historical crypto prices, exchange data, derivatives, liquidation metrics, proprietary indexes such as the Fear & Greed Index and CMC20, and WebSocket streaming. CEO Rush said the goal is to give builders “one dependable source of truth” without needing to combine multiple providers. The expansion follows the platform’s recent ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certification for information security and privacy management. The launch was announced from Kwai Chung, Hong Kong on 7 August 2026.
