Colț de Banat organizes cross-border cycling tour to Kikinda

The Colț de Banat Association is organizing ‘Marea Pedalare’, a 60-kilometer cross-border cycling tour connecting communities in western Timiș County, Romania, with the city of Kikinda, Serbia. The event is part of European Mobility Week, a campaign promoting active mobility, public transport, and sustainable solutions.

The route begins at the ‘Ștefan Jäger’ Museum in Jimbolia and passes through Comloșu Mic, Comloșu Mare, and Lunga before reaching Kikinda. Organizers emphasize that the tour is a non-competitive, relaxed experience focused on community and enjoying the journey rather than speed.

Participants arriving in Kikinda will coincide with the local ‘Pumpkin Days’ (Zilele Dovleacului) celebrations. According to Bogdan Văcărescu, a representative of the association, the goal is to provide a day for people to enjoy the road and the places they pass through together.
