Colate loses legal battle to relocate son to Spain

A Miami Family Court judge has ruled that 15-year-old Andrea Nicolás will remain in Miami to live and study with his mother, singer Paulina Rubio. The decision follows a three-day trial regarding a petition by entrepreneur Nicolás Vallejo-Nagera, known as Colate, who sought to relocate his son to Spain to live with him.

During the proceedings, Colate alleged that the teenager faced physical and mental abuse from Rubio. However, the court rejected these claims and determined that Colate’s desire to move the minor to Spain was based on personal circumstances rather than the child's best interests or professional limitations in Miami. The judge concluded that the teenager should continue his current academic and personal activities in Florida.

In a subsequent interview, Colate expressed that while the specific details of the ruling were surprising, the outcome was not unexpected given his years of legal disputes with the singer. He stated he is currently focusing on his professional responsibilities as president of Club Deportivo Badajoz to manage the situation.
